For many young people in Montreal, life isn’t easy. Drugs, bullying, violence, alcohol and other sorts of abuse affect their lives daily.
Montreal’s Leave Out Violence – or LOVE for short – empowers those affected by these issues.
Young people use photography, writing and more to express themselves. It’s a way to put negative experiences in the past, and create hope for a more positive future.
On Oct. 13, 2010, famous jazz musician Oliver Jones, 76, will host a concert at the Gesu theatre to support the LOVE program. As part of the show, he’ll perform a special number with two teens, who wrote a song especially for the occasion.
